What was the challenge?
Maintaining the integrity and efficiency of SJRA’s raw water conveyance system required advanced hydraulic design, erosion control, and stakeholder coordination. The challenge was to develop sustainable infrastructure solutions while ensuring compliance with flood mitigation goals and optimizing long-term maintenance efforts.
The solution
Design
Extensive experience in designing channels, hydraulic structures, and levee systems aligned with SJRA’s canal design/maintenance efforts.
Hydraulic and Hydrologic (H&H) Modeling
Advanced modeling capabilities to support SJRA’s existing, maintenance, construction and future raw water conveyance needs.
Erosion and Sediment Control
Strong focus on erosion prevention and sediment management, essential for maintaining the integrity of SJRAs raw water infrastructure.
Experience with canal assessments and maintenance plans.
Flood Management Expertise
Extensive grant preparation, management, and support experience aligned with SJRA’s flood mitigation goals and canal design/maintenance efforts.
As the San Jacinto Regional Flood Planning Group, Region 6, Upper Watershed Representative, we can help identify projects that support SJRA’s flood mitigation objectives.
Staff Development and Training
Staff development and training for successfully completing in-house design projects.
Preparation of Project Management Manuals, and Monthly PM forums for successful execution of projects.
Constructability Reviews and Utility Coordination
Strong focus on erosion prevention and sediment management, essential for maintaining the integrity of SJRA’s water infrastructure.
Stake Holder Coordination
Successfully prepared and negotiated ILA s with HCFCD and other stake holders to keep project schedules on track.
